Released!

On Friday, July 14, I was released from Houston Methodist and came home.

After 17 days in the hospital with half of that in isolation in my room, it was a great feeling.

Although at home, I’m still in isolation for another month or so. Anita has sterilized everything, so that my exposure is minimized. Coming home is a great improvement, but I’m still struggling with extreme fatigue and overall malaise.

It’s now a process of waiting for my new immune system to take hold. Blood tests 2 -3 times a week are indicating that the numbers are going in the right direction, so things are looking good.

Thanks for all the support and prayers.

Jay

  2. Jay! I just got wind of your medical struggles, so I found your blog via your Facebook page. Wow, I am just so sorry to hear about all this! But yet thankful that your tests & number are looking good, so therefore you are headed in the right direction. This isolation thing has got to be hard – you’re a people person! Just know that I am thinking of you & sending healing dust your way. Thoughts & prayers to your whole family. Keep being your positive, strong self. 🙂
